EDO MAAS

After an abrupt stop to his cycling career, Edo Maas (2000) began searching for new goals. In 2021, he enrolled at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. What started as an interest in art soon grew into a profound artistic pursuit. Now working from his studio in Antwerp, Maas creates sculptures that explore the human condition. His works capture moments of raw emotion, conveyed through the visual interplay of the human figure in compelling compositions. In this way, he tells his own story. Over time Maas has developed a distinctive artistic language that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.
